Industrial Engineer

Location: St Asaph, UK, United Kingdom

Description

Job Outline: The industrial engineer will find proactive ways to eliminate/reduce waste and inefficiency in production processes and systems. They will realise practical ways to simplify documented information whilst remaining compliant to statutory, legal and industry standard requirements. The role will include designing production process controls including the deployment of ERP system controls that integrate all aspects of the business to ensure mitigation or elimination of non-conforming outputs. Key Responsibilities: . Define and implement best practise with regards to ERP master material data management . Manage the part number creation process from cradle to grave . Be responsible and accountable for BOM & Routing management (Introduction, Structure, obsolescence, etc.) . Review business specific documented information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing processes. This includes, but is not limited to, production schedules, process flows and engineering specs. . Design control systems to minimize and resolve production issues and project costs. . Development of procedures to consider compliance to customer, standards, legal and regulatory requirements. Including ERP/MRP master data management . Produce monthly data reports for management reviews. . To perform Statistical Process Control data analysis to determine process capability and systems data accuracy/integrity. Personal Specification: The successful candidate will need to demonstrate: . Extensive experience working in a manufacturing environment using ERP/MRP systems (eg SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) . Hold a degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial) . Understand current/future advanced manufacturing techniques such as; Additive manufacturing, . Knowledge of production processes and their impacts to quality, cost, delivery and service control, raw materials and other methods for maximizing the efficient manufacture and distribution of product. . Advanced knowledge statistical process control methodology. . Ability to design efficient process controls and understand the benefits of effective implementation. . Knowledge of the ways various systems interact and how changes in operations, the environment and other conditions will affect outcomes. The following attributes would be desirable: . Structural analysis . Membership of a relevant professional body . Awareness of the change processes within the defence industry Consideration will be given to candidates with less industrial experience however you will need to demonstrate strong potential.
