Talent Acquisition Lead

Job Outline This role will lead an in-house Recruitment function, taking responsibility for driving recruitment campaigns and talent acquisition projects. You will partner with technical managers and form close working relationships with hiring managers to target and select candidates, coordinating campaigns, and implementing social media canvassing. The main focus will be full life cycle support (sourcing, recruiting, and screening applicants, negotiate offers, close candidates) for a variety of positions at Qioptiq Ltd. The day-to-day operations (e.g. accuracy and integrity of data) of the recruiting function and the first point of contact for advice and guidance on all recruitment related matters. You should ideally have a strong technical recruiting background with experience recruiting for positions within the Manufacturing and Engineering sectors. You will manage existing internal processes for identifying candidates, maintaining a pipeline of potential future candidates, while ensuring that the recruiting process is an appropriate reflection of our culture and core values. Key Responsibilities : The main duties with this position will be to: . Manage all aspects of both permanent and temporary recruitment for Qioptiq Ltd (St Asaph & Bodelwyddan sites). . Provide weekly status reports about open requisitions and recruiting activities to hiring managers and HR leaders. . Work closely with and build strong working relationships with hiring managers and leaders across the organization to understand current and future needs. . Assist managers in evaluating applicant qualifications and in the selection of the most qualified candidates. . Identify, attract, interview and recommend placement of candidates for all levels, complying with legal and company policy requirements. . Build a candidate pipeline for key positions, maintain regular contact with possible future candidate through leveraging resources, and share information with partners in recruitment to facilitate an effective search process. . Managing external agencies and agreeing terms of business with all preferred suppliers, in accordance with Company guidelines. . Administer all recruitment related documentation, such as contracts of employment and HR/AT databases, internal reporting, and provision of information to external agencies, including the tracking of metrics and relevant data. . Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office, working as part of a dedicated team to deliver a prompt and professional service to Qioptiq Ltd. . Assisting in the implementation of HR Policy, Procedures and Plans in support of resource planning and talent acquisition strategy.


Personnel Specification: Ideally candidates will have significant experience of working in a HR environment within the manufacturing industry with a strong emphasis on recruitment. Applicants must be available to start immediately. Applicants should be educated to A-level standard or equivalent; additional qualifications relating to Human Resources. The following attributes are also essential for this role: o Excellent organisational skills - IT literacy is critical, with full working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Linked In required. o The ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines o Professional communication skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation. o Capacity to operate to a discreet and confidential work ethic at all times. o A confident, flexible and independent working style. o Pro-actively manage own workload to ensure timely provision of information to the business o AS9100 awareness and/or experience would be advantageous.
