To provide efficient and effective support to corporate (global) finance initiatives through the use of data from the current ERP system, and by partnering with local business and functional leaders. The role will drive improvements to the various business systems and help establish a thoughtful, yet concise, forecasting process for the business. Representing Finance, this role will drive cost awareness across the business, as it delivers complex products, services and technologies to customers worldwide. Excellent personal skills will be essential in this role.


Key Responsibilities : The main duties with this position will include: . Supporting the annual budget process - partner with local business, functional, and departmental leaders. . Sustaining the monthly forecast cycle - leverage the local ERP to investigate variances between prior forecasts and the actual results. Publish related KPI's and detail variances by updating the forecast. . Supporting monthly reporting for month ends with comparisons of forecasts to actuals, year over year, and budget. . Coordinating input to forecasts and budgets from local business leaders. . Driving improvements to various local and corporate financial reporting systems (Microsoft AX, Business Objects, Hyperion, Custom SharePoint applications). . Supporting other finance ad hoc analyses, deep dive reviews, and projects such as - headcount reviews, R&D spending reviews, capital expenditure planning and investment, government overhead rate calculations, working capital analysis, product margin analysis. . As required, supporting the business as it undertakes market analysis, understands trends, defines new market activities and business directions. Personnel Specification: It is essential that candidates have the following: . An extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel - in particular the use of Pivot tables, Formulae, Lookup tables, 'If' statements, and graphs, macro generation, SQL reporting and use of data cubes. (Advanced user) . The ability to present data in a clear and precise way. . Are comfortable dealing directly with Senior Manager's and Directors . Are qualified with a recognized accountancy or finance body (such as ACA/ACCA/CIMA) . A degree from finance / accounting /analytical sciences / business related Candidates may also have experience of: . Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, Hyperion Finance Management, Data Warehouses (eg: Business Objects); . Manufacturing businesses and quality management systems, such as AS9100; or . US GAAP and reporting in multiple currencies. . ERP systems
