Ability to problem solve and work with others to find the best solution . Precision in your work and attention to all details . On-point, genuine interpersonal and written communication skills . Capability to work independently and self-motivate . A passion for craftsmanship Reports to: Production Manager/Supervisor PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY Performs various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to: beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, and inspection/measurements. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints; understands process steps. LEVELING REQUIREMENTS . Beveling - cup and straight line . Blocking - standard (multiple parts on same block) wax blocking . Edging - standard edging tasks up to .001 tolerance . Grinding - to include continuous and double side . Inspects and cleans parts . Basic reading and comprehension of prints for basic dimensions . Teamwork - works effectively within team and across departments. Provides guidance lower levels techs and provides input to higher level techs and engineers.
